Any plans for Monday?

It's school vacation week, so I'm super excited! I have a lot of work to do with finishing up my masters, teaching two lectures this week and other fun paperwork stuff... but I have some fun things planed as well.

Tomorrow is all about cooking and cleaning. Tuesday I have a garden specialist stopping by to talk about our back garden. (My section of the South End is on the garden tour this year and I'm trying to get my garden on the tour...) Thursday SO and I both have off, and we are doing a yoga class at Exhale, lunch somewhere in the Back Bay and massage appointments after lunch. Very excited for relaxing day!

Other than that, not to much going on. I'm hoping to see my niece this week... I'm going through LO withdraw... she is sooooooo cute!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

  • Working! Boo.

    Enjoy your week off!

  • I'm working too :(

Have a great week off, Ginger!  Sounds like you have some fun plans.  Where do you lecture?  Is it to other grad students?

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • DH has off. As soon as he finishes cleaning the bedroom, we're going shopping!

  • Have a nice week off! My boss is also off all week to spend time with her kiddos.

DH has to work today (he worked half of Sat too, boo).  I think he is in the running for a 2 month relo project in NO, LA, which is kind of fun but kind of not at the same time. It's just not a great time for him to possibly be gone for 2 straight months.

Anyway. DS had me up before sunrise this a.m. so we got a walk in with the dog already, he is (not) napping right now, and we have a lunch playdate with 2 of my friends and their babies. If it warms up a little, I had hoped to take him out to get 15 month pix taken, but it's hovering at 45 right now, so if it stays that way, that's a no go and I will come up with something else for us to do!

I cannot do inside portraits as my entire house is covered in boxes right now.

  • Sounds like you have a delightful week ahead, Ginger - enjoy!

We ran around like crazy people all weekend, so we're doing a whole lot of nothing today. I just threw some laundry in, and now I'm sitting on the couch in my pjs watching Wife Swap and drinking coffee. I think we may watch a movie later, but we'll see how motivated we are, heh.

  • Enjoy your vacation, Ginger! I have two friends who are teachers who I've already made plans with this week. I love having people around to hang out during the day!

DH doesn't have the day off, and the gym isn't offering afternoon childcare on account of the holiday. So DS and I are probably just going to play at the park after his nap.

Sorry to hear so many of you have to work. SO has the day off... so far, I've attacked the bedroom and eradicated a colony of dust bunnies living under our desk and our bed. It's hard to find time to do that kind of cleaning on a regular basis.

I direct an ensemble at Salem State and this week I'm doing two lectures for and undergraduate music ed. class. One lecture will focus on movement in music and the other will focus on a child centered approach to music called the "Orff Approach." It should be fun.

  • Sounds like a fun week Ginger!
DH was off today, but we didn't do anything exciting.  I went to the mall with babycrushing, and got some new things for her.   I did some organizing which makes me feel great.

This week all my playgroups/baby classes are canceled for February vacation so I am kind of bummed about that.
