Interview - TU note or in person?

I interviewed for a retail position which is located in a semi-upscale mall.  I was going to drop in and ask for my interviewer and hand him my thank you note.  But then I started thinking, maybe it's weird to hand it to them personally.  Perhaps I should just tell him in person? It's a pretty casual setting, but I still want to be professional.  Maybe take the note and only leave it if I don't get the chance to say it in person, like if he isn't available?

Maybe I'll just take it and leave it and not even ask for him so I'm not just dropping in and expecting him to drop what he's doing.
