How many teachers & coaches that have been arrested for child pornography/child sexual abuse in the last few months. It's honestly astounding. I'm glad that law enforcement is cracking down on it and that the perpetrators are getting arrested, but the sheer number of cases just blows my mind. Sickos. Makes me want to put a bubble around my daughter and never let her out of my sight.

    I know it's been freaking me out too - it's so scary.  My brother went to Cheverus and graduated right before the news broke about the teachers/coaches molesting boys there and in MA at BC High, and I personally knew those coaches so it's super freaky how people can lead such secret lives.  Definitely makes me paranoid.

    It is sad, however I am glad that people are actually telling about sexual abuse, I'd rather see stories in the news rather than have kids keep the secrets of abuse to themselves.

    True, I'm not naiive enough to think that these things didn't happen before, and people just kept them hush hush... One of my HS teachers was arrested for allegedly grabbing one of the student's butts... and texting her ... the teacher was always really flirty with the girls in school, but I didn't think he'd be stupid enough to actually do something like that.  The school just asked him to resign, and swept it all under the rug.
