*Nooner* Cooking Question

When making 40 clove garlic chicken in the crock pot, can the chicken go in frozen or do I need to do a quick thaw on it?

Re: *Nooner* Cooking Question

  • You can just stick it in there frozen.  I've always made the 40 clove in the oven because I want a good hard sear on the skin of the chicken.  And if I'm going to waste a pot searing, I might as well put it in the oven.

Anyway.  If you're using the crockpot version, then I see no reason you can't stick it in there frozen.

  • Nooner, I'm hijacking this thread to tell you that the doughnuts in your sig are making me effing crazy. I want one so bad I'm close to salivating at my desk and developing a slight nervous twitch.

  • Sorry!!!  They were so freaking good.  I plan to make more this weekend.  I know I should branch out and make different kinds, but these were so good it's all I want!
