clicky poll: @ diapering

if/when you have a baby or if you already have one, what kind of diapering system do you use?

Re: clicky poll: @ diapering

  • I would love to cloth diaper but it just isn't feasible right now. If we had our own house and I didn't have to worry about having quarters for laundry and worry about what other detergents the other tenants were using I would do it. Until we have a house we will stick with disposables.

    so your answer is disposable.

I actually heard from a friend of mine that works in a day care that there are some moms out there that do this! They must have a secret peeing sense or something.

  • My friend does a combo of cloth diapering and holding her son over the toilet. She was able to stay home for at least 3 months after he was born. She said it takes a lot of getting in tune with his rhythms (how long after he eats before he goes, etc) and little facial expressions, etc, that are indicators. It took her a while, but they actually get him to go in the toilet a good amount of the time. FYI - he's only 6.5 months

  • The third option is called elimination communication. Zista on the bump does it and it works for them.

Wow I didn't know this was really an option, I thought it was a joke.

I am not to the point of making or even really thinking about this decision yet but I am interested in learning mroe about cloth diapering when the time comes.
