Jamie Eason Live Fit trainer

Does anyone use this strength training program? I am a bit skeptical about the no cardio during the first few weeks.

  • I'm at the end of phase 2 in this program.  I have really enjoyed it.  The first phase was a little boring for me because I had already been strength training so I just increased the weight and added some other exercises here and there depending on what muscle group(s) I would be working on that day.  I also continued to do cardio even though the program says not to for the first phase.  Again, this is because I had been training for awhile already and I need to do about 60 min of cardio 5 days a week to help me reach my goals.  I have definitely noticed results with this program.  My arms are looking fantastic!  My strength has significantly increased and my body fat and weight are not drastically but steadily decreasing.  I am really happy with this program so far!!

Are you following the eating plan as well? Or just eating clean in general?

  • Rachel Cosgrove doesn't want you doing cardio either. She thinks that steady state cardio conditions your body to hold onto weight. You can read more about that here:

When I started Cosgrove's program, I gave up cardio for a bit. Nothing catostrophic happened but I missed it. Its more social than lifting and a great mood booster for me.
