MH and I are planning to spend a night in Hunt Valley this spring (going to great grapes festival) and are using points for the hotel. Any opinions between the HV Marriott, Courtyard and Residence Inn? They are the same cost, looking for which has the best rooms and location (not too concerned with the hotel grounds/ammenties). Thanks!
Re: Hunt Valley hotels
The only hotel on your list I've stayed in was the Hunt Valley Marriott. The rooms were really nice, the hotel was clean etc. Based on location, I say go for the Marriott or Courtyard since since you have a Panera Bread, Wegman's, and a bunch a little restuarants right across the street from you for convenience.
If you are going through Marriott Rewards, I would assume that the Courtyard would be the "cheapest" in points. A Marriott Residence Inn generally tends to have a slightly higher rewards category due to the included kitchen.
If they are all the same rewards category (and thus same number of points) I would probably go with the HV Marriott. It is the closest to the Hunt Valley Town Center and I think they offer a courtesy shuttle. It is a walkable distance, but you have to cross a pretty busy main road. The Courtyard is on the same side of the main road as the shopping center, but you have to walk up a big hill to get back to it.
i'd pick embassy suites, but then i am a loyal hilton customer.
in your situation i would go with the one that uses the least amount of points
SOunds like a review straight from a brochure.
