I need to AW my run tonight.

It was my first run in nearly 2 weeks because I was super sick last week and it's taken me a while to recover. In fact, I'm still not feeling great. Just ok.

Anyway, I did only 3 miles tonight because, like I said, I'm still feeling kind of tired and blah. But they were my fastest 3 miles ever! 10:12 average, down from my usual 11:00-11:20 average, and my splits were 9:52, 10:18 and 10:35!

I'm stunned. I'm actually a little afraid that I'm going to find out that my Garmin has become defective or something. lol

I hope that this is not a fluke, but if it is at least I have a record of it. :)

ETA: Actually, it's been more than 2 weeks. Lost track of the days.

  • Way to go! Yes

I realized last night I brought my time down to 10:25/average last night, from a 12:30. It is a good feeling!

  • Awesome! Sometimes I think the breaks are the best thing you can do for yourself. I've done the garmin checking, too, because I don't know where the speed came from. Keep it up :)

  • Thanks guys! :)

    I'm very proud of myself.

I think the thing that has helped me is that I've started going to spin 2x per week starting in mid-January. Not that I think that my physical endurance has improved in that short time, but I think that it's helped me break a mental barrier and learn just how hard I can really push myself. I work my butt off in spin, but I was not really in the habit of pushing myself THAT hard while running. Now I've started and it seems to really make a difference.
