Adventures in being "that" spouse
Oh for goodness sake. Dumb Photobucket.
I'll post the picture later.
Spouses are dumb sometimes.
I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
Re: Adventures in being "that" spouse
I wish I knew exactly what unit, because how fun would it be to check out the unit's specific FB page? Lol.
Also, this page was for a major huge tent group over a larger number of units, I don't know why she didn't just call SecDef Panetta...
People need to learn to filter, and accept that they have no control over anything in the military. Sure, be upset that your H is only home a few hours and goes back, but you don't freaking post that on Facebook and try to contact someone about getting him home longer. H would kill me if I did that.

I changed my name
Yeah, I can only imagine the spouse's reaction. I feel like my FI, though he's never deployed, would be mortified if I was trying to rock the boat. Just roll with the punches - I wouldn't go calling my spouse's boss to talk about giving him holidays off if he was an ER doctor on call! Some inconveniences you have to accept as part of the job.
