Re: Rec a good yoga/low impact workout DVD

  • I'd go with any "Hatha" yoga DVD. Hatha yoga is a type of yoga that is slower, more gentle and good for beginners. Of course, it's always better to go to a beginner class if you are new to yoga- there is a LOT to learn in terms of posture and alignment and it's helpful to have an actual instructor to correct your posture.

  • Do you have On Demand through your cable company?  When we had Comcast there was a Fitness On Demand category with a variety of workouts (pilates and yoga as well as high impact aerobics).

I totally agree-- I would definitely do at least one class (more if you can) with an instructor before trying on your own. You don't want to do more harm than good!

No, cable was too expensive so we switched to DirecTV and I didn't wanna pay for the on demand.

I want to go to a class on campus but the classes are at like  6 and 8. I'm done by 2 and see no need in waiting around campus till 6. I'm going to check to see if the hospital or local gym in my city offers any classes.
