Fit Chicks

How is everyone doing?

What are your weightloss or fitness related goals?  Has anyone reached a goal yet?  Big or small, reaching a goal always motivates me to keep going in the right direction.

Re: Fit Chicks

  • I'm still doing WW on my own and am down 11.5 lbs. I guess my first goal will be a 10% loss, I've got about 6 more pounds to go to hit that. I am down a size, and looking forward to buying some new clothes for spring/summer.

  • If it zips, it fits.  Right?  I can finally zip a pair of my pre-pregnancy jeans but the resulting muffin top is out of control.  I was looking at my weekly pregnancy pictures this weekend and I could still see evidence of my abs well into my 5th month.  There is no evidence of muscle tone in my entire body right now.  But it still feels good to know I'm making some sort of progress.  I'm still hoping to be back in a bikini this summer.  Fingers crossed!

I have no idea what my actual weightloss progress is because honestly, I've been storing a basket of baby bath stuff on top of the scale for months and I don't care about the number so much right now.

  • I suck.

I'm skipping yoga tonight because my car is in the shop and I've been eating badly.

And I really just don't care, that's the problem. I am close enough to my goal size/weight that I don't care enough to make significant changes in my diet. I'm physically fit and getting fitter, the key for me is going to be calorie control and I just haven't forced myself to do it yet.

  • My eating has been all out of whack, as has my working out.  My all-day-sickness seemed to disappear Sunday, so fingers crossed I keep feeling as good as I've been the past couple of days.  I'm going to get back on the workout wagon today and hopefully slide right back into my healthier eating habits this week.

I just want to keep up my exercise schedule for as long as I can, so I can be in the best shape possible for the later months of this pregnancy - it's going to be a long, hot summer and my job is too physically active for me to be lazy about this now.

I am hoping the nicer weather will hold out and we'll all be motivated (and able) to get outside and be active and enjoy it :)

  • Ugh, I haven't worked out in a couple weeks and skipped the food log a few days, my weight skyrocketed accordingly. I was hoping to only gain 25 this time since I started out overweight, but I was up 23 last weigh in so I'm not sure that's going to happen.

It is definitely hard to keep up with this stuff in late the 3rd tri! I have been slightly better lately about working out, but had a few weeks with basically no exercise and not really caring about what I was eating and also saw a jump in my weight. I have been doing better with doing some type of exercise every other day for the past two weeks and am trying to be more aware of what I'm eating. I gained 50lbs with Eli and am currently up 32 with 4 weeks to go. My goal was to not gain more than 35 this time, so I might be cutting it close, but as along as it's an improvement from last time I'll be happy! I got 50 off last time, so anything less to start with will be great!

  • I'm trying to go 3-4 times a week...although it's mostly walking and not as much running anymore.

What I really need to do is stop eating so much dessert.  But I love dessert sooo much.
