I saw the post where you recommended your painter. You're in Yardley right? I was wondering if he would come out as far as New Hope and whether he does other handy man type jobs - wall paper removal, that kind of thing? Is he reasonably priced, or a higher end pricer?

Yep he's in Bensalem and I am sure he'd go to New Hope. He's ridiculously honest, does a great job and VERY low priced. He did a bunch of work for us in addition to painting (he hung cabinets, put up molding, etc) His name is Bill and his # is 215 639 3117.
You live in New Hope? We live right off of Taylorsville where Yardley becomes Washington Crossing. You're super close.
We have an offer in on a short sale - I am dubious about whether it is going to work out at this point, but we are giving it our best shot. Inspections are tomorrow.
I love the Starbucks in Yardley overlooking the pond - I have a friend I meet there fairly regularly... in fact I'll be there tomorrow! If we get the house I'll let you know and we should meet for a (decaf) tea or coffee.

Good luck with the house.. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Short sales can be a PIA. Do you know what bank the original loan is through? That makes a huge difference on the speediness.
Wells Fargo - it's approved, but on an 'as is' basis - which may not work for us.
We'll see how it goes tomorrow and decide if we want to move forward from there.
