So, what did you end up cooking for the birthday dinner?   Did it turn out great?

Just curious what you decided on.

Re: ***StellarS**

  • It came out great! Thanks for asking. :)

I was going to go with the honey chicken but I had to work really late and I didn't want to chance screwing it up so I asked a friend for her super easy semi-thai recipe.

It's basically shredded chicken, hot thai paste, minced garlic, cilantro, red/green peppers, red onions, cucumbers, tomato's with lime and fish sauce on top of jasmine rice with cabbage on the side. All of the veggies were raw so all I had to do was boil the chicken. Easy peasy.

He LOVED it. I think he loved the fact that I cooked so it was a win/win.

ETA: I did have him cook the rice, he's a rice PRO. LOL

  • Awesome!   That looks and sounds yummy, I am so glad it came out great!

I would be lost without my rice cooker.  Before I got one of those I was mostly cooking Instant Rice or Rice A Roni.    It has been a big help for me on the rice perfecting.

Glad you were able to give your H a wonderful birthday dinner, I am sure he truly appreciated it.
