**updated lol**1st winner since being on OKC

I've been messaging back and forth with this guy last week. He seems like a nice guy, pretty much "good country boy" feel to him. So, he asked if we could take it offline line and gave me his number. I was perfectly good with it and we texted a bit more. Planned on meeting for coffee this coming weekend, etc. This was yesterday. This morning, just before 8, he texted me "Good morning my dear sweet beautiful H." Indifferent I haven't even met him yet!

ETA: So I texted him and said "FYI - that's definitely coming on a bit too strong there..." His response "Sry just wanted to make u smile this morning" just keeps getting better!

  • Ugh, why do they ruin it?!  I tell people off the bat, in a joking manner, that my two rules are 1) no good morning texts and 2) no d*ck pics.

  • I can't decide if reading all these horror stories makes me want to avoid online dating, or get into it for LOLZ.

I know!!! I was actually looking forward to getting together this weekend. I may need to figure out a good way to express the no good morning texts in the future. And for #2, really??? I hope I never have to experience that one...

I was the same way. And although I'm keeping an open mind, because you never know who you'll meet, I am definitely more in it for the entertainment with hopes of getting lucky.

Go for it.  At best you met someone great, at worst you get to lolz.  I started a blog with my stories.

I just puked a bit in my mouth.  Why do they all think we need THEM to make us smile?! Grr!

I came up with a good line when a guy was getting creepy via text.  I said, "You're approaching the creepy line.  Don't cross it."

    It worked.  He stopped immediately!
