S/O panty lines

Am I the only one who feels like I ALWAYS have them unless I wear a thong?  Any kind of other underwear, and I feel like you can see the lines on my butt.  Granted, while pregnant, I just haven't cared because I rarely want to wear a thong... but still.  I was sorting underwear last night and thinking there has to be a panty line free normal underwear option out there!

I don't love the boy cut underwear where half my butt cheek hangs out the bottom, so if that's the answer, then it's not an option for me.

Anyone every found a panty line free brief of some sort?

Also, do you judge women when you can see panty lines?

Re: S/O panty lines

  • I wear comfy undies.  If people have nothing better to do than stare at my bum and judge me for wearing undies, I feel bad for them.  I would rather pick comfort than pick wedgies.
  • I'm the same way. My OB told me that during my pregnancy I would switch over to normal undies and never look back. Well, I went to the hospital in a thong and was back in one as soon as I felt I could handle one.

I don't love the boy cut either. I wear thongs during the day and normal for sleeping. My DH makes fun of my because I change my undies twice a day.

I admit, I do judge. I think "oh come on honey, it's such a little step to finish an outfit".

  • The F&B board recommends the Soma vanishing edge underwear but I've never tried them.

There are some that I like from VS that go underneath your butt folds so there's no line but I feel like this only works for people with big butts (and big butt folds).

I definitely don't judge especially when you have to wear dress pants every day. I usually get irritated with looking for comfortable thongs and just go without. I feel like I need extra long thongs that can deal with the depth of my crack.

I don't own a thong. I think they are ridiculous and uncomfortable.  Then again, maybe I'd worry about it if I had a hot bod and wore form fitting clothes?

Here is the thing - the only time I ever see VPL is when people wear pants that are waaaaay too tight in the ass.  In that case, your undies aren't going to save you.

Re: thongs, just b/c you can't see VPL, doesn't mean you can't tell when someone is wearing a thong (I've seen lots of pants on skinny girls kind of wedgie-ing into their butt crack).  So, great you don't have VPL, but your pants are up your butt.

So, yea, I don't really care and wear what is comfortable.  Which to me are regular plain old cotton hipsters.

  • I wear VS Lacie hipsters--they don't give me VPL on about 99% of my pants and skirts--it is just when pants are really tight and like OPP have said nothing is going to help.

  • I take it back.  Sometimes I do judge VPL, like here:

Yeah pretty much all of this.  I HATE thongs, I hate the feeling of something being "there" like that.  For serious, I'd rather go commando any day.  And I agree that if someone's pants and underwear fit properly, I don't notice VPL.

But I have also heard good things about the Soma ones that Jaay mentioned.

    And dilligaf-- AMEN.

This exactly. I use to wear a thong, but got tired of them. These are comfy, mostly no line and still sexy. I wear the very sexy scalloped hiphugger (see link) with dresses or snug pants. No line. And I do judge, sorry.
