Would you be irked if good friends of yours were getting married on your birthday?
Re: Wedding
Does she also think the world revolves around her?
No, not at all.
I don't own the day just because I was born on it.

As one of my friends stated at our wedding (on her birthday)..."I get to party with a bunch of my friends, drink free wine, dance all night with my boy, who would be anti dancing if we went out to a club, stay in a swanky hotel, this is going to be an awesome birthday! And I will never forget your anniversary!"
I wouldn't be bothered at all.
No way.
If that were the case, I'd be pissed every few years when my birthday fell on Fathers Day. All the dads out there should get their own day to celebrate, not take mine! Lol.
Friend? No. if it was a sibling, maybe I would feel a little slighted but DH is an only child, my sister's getting married in October, and my brother's not in a relationship and has a "whatever" attitude so I won't have to worry about it in forever anyway.
However, I love the idea of partying with friends, getting a nice meal and free drinks and celebrating love!
