Has anyone read Twilight *after* seeing the movies?
I bought Twilight for my kindle because it was on sale for $2.99.
Unfortunately, I can not shake the movie characters from my mind and form my own characters. It is highly annoying.
I also don't think I'll be buying the other books. It is too much, "And then he said, and then I was all like, and then he said back and then I sighed."
Re: Has anyone read Twilight *after* seeing the movies?
Aw! That sucks. I thoroughly hated the movies and the actors but I somewhat enjoy watching them now since it's a quick version of the book.
That being said, I consider twilight to be the junk food of the book world. It's horrible for you and not healthy at all, but you can't stop from finishing the bag (book). LOL
Maybe not in your case but you know what I mean.
This. The movies are ridiculously silly. But I still love them. And that's OK with me. I can't imagine seeing the movies first- the reason I actually really liked the books was how descriptive they were in terms of scenery/landscape, etc, and the movies just can't convey that.
Ditto. I refused to watch any more after the second one.

Haha this is so good!
I read the books long before I ever saw the movies, and I was really glad I did. It's always easier to picture your own character in your head before a movie or show forces it into your imagination! But you always run the risk of being disappointed in the on-screen appearance/manner of a character. I thought they did great with Charlie and most of the Cullens...it just happened that I thought they did a terrible job with the two main characters! Oh well.
I agree with Apples. My sister is a movie only fan of Twilight and I don't understand how that's possible.
