The new FB post going around.

Time for more defriending.

A friend of mine posted this and I had to share it ~

I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child.

He fathered several children with numerous women.

I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me.

Although my father deserted me and my mother raised me, I later wrote a book idolizing my father----not my mother.

Later in life, questions arose over my real name.

My birth records were sketchy.

No one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.

I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my new country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs and didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.

I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.

That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and embarked on a new career.

I wrote a book about my struggles growing up.

It was clear to those who read my memoirs, that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.

I became active in local politics in my 30's then, with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40's.

They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything.

I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization.

Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me, as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.

I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances.

This bolstered my ego.

At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy...

I was very critical of my country in the last war, and seized every opportunity to bash my country.

But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy.

I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better, and every poor person would be fed and housed for free.

I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess.

It was the free market, banks and corporations.

I decided to start making citizens hate them and, if they became envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.

I called mine "A People's Campaign."

That sounded good to all people.

I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular support.

I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope', together we could change our country and the world..

So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities".

My true views were not widely known and I kept them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader.

I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I'm glad they didn't.

Then I became the most powerful man in the world.

And then the world learned the truth.

Who am I?

ADOLPH HITLER
If you were thinking of SOMEONE ELSE, you should be concerned, very concerned!

Re: The new FB post going around.

  • I cannot roll my eyes enough for this.
  • I wrote a half-cocked angry response to the person who posted it but I'm still filled with rage.

Nevermind FB but these other a-holes have taken to staking out the front walk of the post office with all kinds of Obama = Hitler propaganda.

  • I just went from a 9 to a 9.5 on my rage meter.  Things are not looking good for the next person who speaks to me today.

  • Someone went to a lot of trouble to be a ridiculous a-hole.

    11/11/11 = 5 years. Woah!
  • I'd bet a brazilian dollars that it was written by one of these asssholes, who I run into regularly when trying to leave my goddamned office: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaRouche_movement

Same for me as a German.

And since TSD is also Jewish and in a heavily Jewish area I am kind of concerned that a Jew posted this.

TSD seems to have more than enough crazy racist gentiles on her FB.

  • It wasn't a jew who posted it. At least not the one I'm friends with. A republican Christian posted it.
  • I know I'm focusing on the least of its problems here, but isn't that not how you spell Adolf?

If you're going to be a stupid jerk you might as well have correct spelling.

  • Someone that considers themselves a devout Christian to boot. She spends a lot of time posting about Jesus too.

And she lives in Florida.but not where the jews are

  • So, basically the panhandle then?

And yeah, I got stuck on that too SB but I tried to not focus.

  • Yeah, Jews don't post shiit like that. Jews I know don't compare anyone to Hitler. He's sort of in a class by himself.

  • Ewww.  I don't know why I still have a hard time understanding how people feel comfortable being so public about their bigotry and offensiveness.
  • My eyes have been opened!  The similarities are uncanny!

I wonder it. Then I really look where it's coming from. Most of the time on FB I see it from townies from anywhere, especially the town I grew up in, who are uneducated and living in their tiny bubble. One girl is always "can't we all just get along?" and "racism sux" but in the next breath is hitting Like on something totally offensive or racist. Not excusing it at all but I think they don't even know better. The woman today has a husband with very strong conservative opinions and a strong personality. Living with someone for like 30 years can totally brainwash you I think. Which is also pretty interesting since in a post winged made about ex friends and their sexual proclivities were pretty similar to these people so I'm not sure where they have such room to judge others. Husband is against the "gay lifestyle" too. You know because they get the aids and die.

  • That's disgusting.

More by Orlando. West of it. Beyond Boca/ft lauderdale/miami I'm not very well versed in florida geography. I do not know what this general area is like.

  • So I read like the first 6 or 7 lines and said, so obviously they want me to think this is Obama but it isn't, who is it. Scrolled to the bottom and read who it was and the "you should be very concerned" and IMMEDIATELY thought the poster meant I should be concerned for being so goshdarned gullible for even thinking for one second all those lines were about Obama. And I was all "Why would TSD defriend someone for trying to show us what fools we are if we believe stupid stuff". Then I read the responses and realized that the poster believes Obama and Hitler share similarities (???) and therefore Obama should be feared and my brain exploded.

Oh if your brain exploded from that, you should've seen the responses on the person's actual page.

I've seen similar where they tried to say "Adolph" was a vegetarian, socialist, peacenik-artist, so obviously those are all bad things to be. Yeah.....

  • The height of douchebaggery on SO many levels.
  • This was the H's answer-

I think the similarity isn't meant to arouse anything but a thoughtful debate. A debate being defined as a search for the truth (which is in its self a problem). Saying that the comparison is a false one isn't true. The facts are there if y...ou are honest enough to see them.   Obama would rather destroy our country the way Kruschev suggested; from the inside out. By having the government control social issues and make laws concerning our rights to think and feel a certain way about any issue, crush religious freedoms, alienate and divide by race and class while all the while making seemingly progressive and logical appeals to civilized dialogue.   In other words politicians are politicians and they have to do what they have to do to stay in POWER and promote the agenda of those who put them there. When one party denigrates the other's leaders and agenda they cry foul, yet when they do the exact same thing they say the other side are just foolish, misguided, ignorant, biased people to be looked upon with pity. Yes clearly I see the similarity to Obama in the post. Both of these politicians were bouyed along by blind faith and fanatic belief that a radical change was necessary to rid their society of a certain kind of people. Propaganda is used by both sides. Remember Marshall McCluhan's famous statement, "The Media is the Message."
