The only way they do that I know of is if you've already read it and no one else has posted after you've last looked at it.

babyjennlin is sleeping...she has jaundice, so she's in a light therapy box and we can't really hold her i haven't had a chance to post about that much (at all). but it's hard to not be with her. but at least we are home now, and no longer in the hospital.

Lil man had a little jaundice too....but didn't have to be in a therapy box. Hopefully her bilirubin(sp?) levels get to be were they need to be. I remember you saying you were worried about BF, everything going ok there?

i'm thinking about starting a dairy farm. it's seriously ridiculous how much milk i produce. big boobs +1.

we were discharged from the hospital on thursday night, with a follow up appointment friday morning. friday morning, they told us we needed to stay at the hospital one more night..and she was in the intensive box for 24 hours. she had adorable little sunglasses on, but she hated them. we were discharged again sat afternoon with an appointment at regular pediatrician on monday afternoon. monday evening we got a call saying the results meant we needed to do at-home therapy, which isn't as intense, but still sad. she likes this much better than the intensive one. she doesn't need her glasses for this box (she's zipped into basically a huge, lighted-onesie).

I hadn't really thought about it until I read this, but ... YEAH. There haven't been any sexytime polls or threads lately.

Jenn---did you post your whole "birth story" on here at some point? I didn't realize babyjennlin was experiencing any health issues. Hopefully they will all be cleared up asap!! Glad to hear your milk is a flowin It's frustrating when that doesn't happen.

Edmund was jaundiced too. But it was due to not getting enough to eat because he wasn't eating right the first week. His levels were high but not high enough for them to admit him to the hospital. Our regular pedi told us that we should put him in sunlight for as long as possible. Since sunlight filtered through a window is the same as the therapy. I almost laughed in his face since it was the first weekend in May. Luckily he cleared up and once he started eating right everything was fine. I hope baby jennlin doesn't have to do the treatments that much longer.

yeah we were told about the sunlight thing too---but eh. it's february!

was pumping not an option for you?

Pumping was an option and I tried. I pumped the first week and was doing alright. I could get about 2oz from each side. But he wasn't eating it right since we weren't getting the hang of the bottle he needed to eat out of. He was exerting too much energy and taking too long to eat such a small amount.

After being told by a nurse that we weren't feeding him right. I doubted myself and went from getting 2oz at each pumping session to getting nothing out of either. I was so stressed about feeding him right that I just couldn't stand to try pumping anymore because I was beating myself up and for my sanity just had to go formula.
