Cleaning & Organizing
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Somebody help me with replying to posts...
since this is the organizing board, I was hoping someone could explain to me how to respond to a post in an organized way.
That is, how do you highlight what someone said and respond just to what you highlighted? I see it as a box around the segment someone is responding to...
Thanks for your help in being a better communicator here...although this isn't my regular board...just to embarrassed to put it up on the one I'm on all the time...
Thanks so much in advance!
Re: Somebody help me with replying to posts...
Click Quote instead of Reply. Scroll to the end where you see /quote in brackets. Type in your text and click Post. Voila!
After you have clicked quote, you can delete any portion of the poster's text so that you are quoting only a specific section of text. Make sense?

Sometimes, If I just want to quote a small part, I copy and paste, then do something to identify it as separate from my own post, like I did here.
thanks you two but I swear I've done both and it didn't work!! For sure the second suggestion doesn't work for me...for instance, I copy the part of the post I want to reply, and when I paste it, it copies twice...I know, I know, I'm making something really easy, difficult!
Okay, I am going to try it again. Quote instead of reply, end where I see quota, type. Got it.
Thanks again!
