Hair straightener!

Now tht I have bangs and need to straighten them almost daily, my $15 target one isn't doing so hot. Ha! I don't have a price in mind but I know they have good ones at the mall for $200, so probably below that. Ready.....go!

  • I swear by my Chi, got it at Ulta for $97 or so. I don't like the fancier ones though, the just basic one.

  • Because I love you, I got up off my lazy butt and went up and checked out what mine was!

I bought it like 5 or 6 years ago from Sally Beauty Supply for between $80-$100. I can't find the exact one but its Jilbere. I love it. I use it a lot and it has held up really well. It has multiple heat settings and auto shut off it you forget to turn it off. And the cord is SUPER long which I love.

These three are most similar to mine. The first one being the closest.

  • I LOVE my Sedu and swear by it. It is on the pricey side, between $130-150 but there are times online where you can get a great deal on it. I used to have a Chi and that didn't work very well for me and also broke.
  • Sedu!

    I got it at folica.com

I did.  And I have never owned/used a straigtener.  It's not b/c I have straight hair, either.  I'm lucky to use a brush once a day.

  • I've been using my Chi for many years. It does a good job. I have SUPER thick, coarse, curly hair so straightening it is no small feat. My mom bought one at her hair salon that is a little thinner than the Chi and light blue and pretty much the most amazing invention. It makes my hair perfectly straight but it's more expensive than the Chi. If you're interested, I can ask her what the brand is.

Yes please! I too have thick curly hair which is why my straightener isn't working lol

Mine works great on thick curly hair which is the texture mine is.

Me too!! I got mine with an $89 Groupon; best deal I've ever bought.

  • I got mine for like $40 at Sally's, but I already have straight hair so I didn't need much "oomph." For thick, curly hair, nothing beats a Chi Turbo. I had one and it did wonderful things to my hair. I really, really want another Chi.
  • As the resident cheapskate I use a Conair straightener...I think it's the 2 inch wide one.  Target $29.99.  It does really well on my incredibly thick and course hair.  I find it does a better job when I do a good job blow drying my hair.

  • I gave my Chi to a friend and never got it back. You can get them for cheaper at TJ Maxx. I think I got mine for like $60.

  • I love my CHI.  You can usually find them on sale somewhere, but they are kind of pricey.  Totally worth it though.

  • CHI lover here too.  I hardly ever have to use it here in CO, but when I lived in the humidity, its the only thing that worked.  It will get TONS of use in NC.

    Pricey, but worth it.

  • Another vote for Chi! I love mine. I have thin-ish, wavy hair just past my shoulders and it takes about 15 minutes to straighten it all with the Chi. I'm not sure what model I have..just the basic one, I believe.
