Mouse, are you and I the only C of E people on here? ;)
Just wondering, there seem to be a ton of RC and Catholic people on, but I've never met another C of E individual here in the States. We try and attend the Episcopal church here when I can but it's just not the same!!
Once upon a time, boy met girl...
Re: Mouse, are you and I the only C of E people on here? ;)
I'm Episcopalian, which is pretty close? (I'm also a lurker, hah.)
ALSO, I
your sig. One of the best things about living in the UK is that Dr. Who is on normal TV.
Yes, it is the offshoot of the C of E with a few differences here and there.
It all depends on what you are used to in your own C of E parish. My aunt attends a "high" church which is two winks shy of a RC church, but I attended a more progressive C of E. It's very similar but there are certain differences from church to church. My church in the UK had a 2 hour service with the Book of Common Prayer and then a whole bunch of modern hymns thrown in. Here it's more like an hour with the same old dreary hymns that Wesley wrote in scratchy fountain pen.
I wish I'd been to your church! Ours was always very much like the white people church in the Eddy Izzard sketch
