pajamas on a plane?
Would you wear them? Is this a big no-no?
I have a 6 + 14 hour flight coming up. Originally I was thinking something like yoga pants, but since I won't wear them any other time during the trip I don't really want to lug them around the whole time. I wouldn't wear the pajamas through the airport - I'd change after we got on the plane and change back before we landed.
I wouldn't really think twice about it but I've seen a lot of people on TN complain about how that is seriously the worst crime someone can commit. You know how TN is...
Also, yesterday I found out the Sydney airport has shower facilities and it was the best news I heard all day.
PS, I'm aware this is a pretty ridiculous post, I was just trying to think of something to spur conversation and this is the best I could do

I'm with Sikes. To me, pajamas and other people don't mix, but sleeping in comfy/yoga pants works.
Not to mention, is one extra pair of pajama pants/shorts really going to break the suitcase if you can't sleep in yoga pants?

One extra pair of yoga pants won't be the end of the world. I started laying out everything I'm going to pack and there were a lot of "just this one extra thing"s. So now I'm going back through trying to weed out what I really don't need.
On the other hand, it is so much easier to pack for this trip to a warm/mild climate. Our past several trips have been to COLD places and I've had to pack so many layers and jackets and scarves and stuff - so at least there's not that!

I always assume people who are dressed up are being picked up gate-side by the Queen of England. I always look around for her at the gate, but I think she has an Invisibility Cloak.

And we offered a solution! Sleep in the yoga pants. Plus seriously how big are they that you can't just shove them in when you're not wearing them? I'm assuming you'd wear them on the way back too so that's forty hours of wear. I'd say that justifies the (very tiny) space they would occupy in your suitcase while you're there.
Pajama pants (especially loud, printed pajama pants!) are never appropriate in public. Plane = public.

I personally wouldn't wear clothing that is obviously pajamas, but if it's easier for you... then who cares what strangers think?
When I fly back home I wear my comfy skinny jeans (they are thinner have a little stretch to them so maybe they are "jeggings"... but really they look and feel like jeans). They are the next best thing to yoga pants.
