Need recs for sports bras - Large Chest
I wear a 40DDD size bra and I need some new sports bras. The ones I have a bought years ago and they don't do much. I was doing a lot of walking before, but now I'm getting into zumba and just did a bootcamp class and good God I almost got a black eye lol. I definitely need something to keep the girls in place, which I'm not even sure if it's possible with the size of them. Any recommendations?
Also what do you look for when buy a sports bra? Do you usually wear a smaller size (i.e. S, M, L) than what your shirt size to have it more tight fighting?
Re: Need recs for sports bras - Large Chest
Are boobs are similarly sized.
I like the Moving Comfort Fiona (http://www.amazon.com/Moving-Comfort-Womens-Fiona-White/dp/B001AP5GM6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329931642&sr=8-1). Good support, a bit of unavoidable bounce when I run. I like this one for hiking, etc.
I tried the Moving Comfort Juno (http://www.amazon.com/Moving-Comfort-Womens-Juno-Black/dp/B002T1FV52/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1329931678&sr=8-5) and felt like the straps were on the wrong part of my shoulder. Too much pressure close to my neck. Generally seemed really supportive.
My favorite all-around is the Goddess Sports Bra (http://www.amazon.com/Goddess-Womens-Sport-Bra-Black/dp/B001XJD6M6/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1329931744&sr=1-1). Less bounce and generally the most comfortable. I use this for workouts and running (ha! jogging!).
I've seen folks rave about Enell, but I've never tried them.
first of all, do NOT buy a (S, M, L) sized sports bra. buy a properly sized one; your girls deserve it!
my favorite sports bras come from moving comfort. i've got a few different styles, but the one i like the most is the fiona. i also like the maia. they can be pricey, but i like to go to discount sites, like sierra trading post, where i can get the ridiculous colored ones that nobody else wanted for like 60% off market price. frankly, i couldn't give a rat's azz what color my sports bra is, so long as it does its job and does it well!
fwiw, i wear a 36DD on normal days, and a 36DDD when i have my period.

It took me a while (and a lot of $ spent) to find one that I liked (i.e. worked and felt good) and I really like this one.
I like enell as well.
I don't buy sports bras that are sized S,M,L. I only buy the ones that come with cup sizes. my fav is the CW-X Xtra support bra. I'm a 32DDD and the 34 DD size keeps everything in place. and no more doubling up on sports bras!
Yeah, I understand what you are going through. I am a 34 DD and I have learned this much as far as sports bras:
Get one that is in your actual bra size.
Those sports bras at Wal Mart and Target are not the best. Your girls will still be flying all over the place!
Find an actual company that specializes in sports bras.
As for what I actually use. There is the Victoria's Secret VSX line that have some pretty supportive bras. I have bought a jog bra from Champion that works pretty well but you will have to replace it after a couple of months because the elastic wears and you will feel the girls moving a little. But again, these are the cheap-line bras.
