Re: QOTD - 2.22.2012
Maxwell and Jill Scott at the Palace. It was so good that even B agreed that we should see both of them whenever they're in Michigan.
Beyonce is second. That girl can put on a show!
My Profile
This is a very hard question.
I saw Lyle Lovett with his Large Band outdoors in Atlanta in the summer. Tops for awesome show in a great atmosphere. And he is a showman for sure.
It is hard to decide!
I loved seeing Ryan Adams (not to be confused with Canadian Bryan Adams) at the Chicago Theatre. It was an awesome show and then all of a sudden he threw a rock star fit on stage. He hit his microphone against the piano repeatedly because he was dissatisfied with the sound. He yelled at the crowd. Mandy Moore has been good for him.
This makes me excited to see Death Cab for Cutie in April when they are in town!
I love Lyle! We saw him at Ravinia, an outdoor venue just north of Chicago. We weren't very close so we didn't really get to *see* much of him. It was still a wonderful evening of listening to good music and drinking wine with friends.
I saw No Doubt randomly my senior year spring break in Orlando. What made it awesome was-
#1-That it was No Doubt
#2-The venue- It was at a Hard Rock cafe, so it was pretty small and intimate, we were pretty much the front row
#3-How random it was. We were the under 18 year olds, thus we couldn't go 'clubbing' with the other half of the group. We were looking for something to do and randomly happened across the ad for the show, they still had tickets so we went. It was fabulous.
