Hunger Games--possible spoilers
I think some of you have read these books, right? I'm halfway through the second book, and while they're great so far, I'm finding them very difficult to read, emotionally. I just can't imagine living the way the characters in the book do, or experiencing the things they do at the hands of their own government. Did anyone else feel this way? It's like I want to keep reading them (and I will) but it's almost depressing to do so.

Yes, I felt the same. The 3rd book was particularly hard on me.
I'm really interested to see if the emotions transfer to screen...

I think one of the things that'll help the movies is they purposely picked older actors so you're not looking at them as children as much. The little kids thing really got me in the books.

I agree. It's hard to imagine that people would do this to one another, and to kids especially... unfortunately there are enough places on this earth that make the events in the hunger games look like child's play.
This is I think the only way I will get thru the movie. The actress for Rue still looks so young though... Ugh
The actress for Katniss has been quoted discussing the 2nd film, so I assume all 3.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the one coming out in March is just covering the first book. That way, more $$$ for everyone, I'm sure.
