health & fitness check in
how is everyone doing with the goals to be healthy and fit? have you made any adjustments to your routine or are you just a rockstar (like karebear) where you can eat 18 donuts in one sitting and not gain any weight?

Re: health & fitness check in
I have fall so far off the wagon that I can't even see the wagon anymore. H and I have been talking more and more about getting back into being healthy. For me, it isn't about losing weight - I just want to feel good and get toned. I was in such good shape for about 2 years and I let that all go after we traveled to Portugal last summer. Then in January when we were in FL, I gained weight from eating out everyday.
My new goal is to just get back to attending bootcamps 2-3 times a week. I think once I get back into enjoying those endorphines, I'll get more motivated to being more active overall.
Wow, you guys rock! Send some of your good habits my way!
I'm up (only 5ish from the fall, but at least 15 from my goal), starting gaining weight in November when Winky died, our all-inclusive trip and the holidays didn't help. I'm doing pretty poorly on the eating, but I restarted my insanity workouts and am enjoying those.
I've got a ton of weddings and wedding related get-togethers coming up this spring and summer so I really need to get my act together!
I'd down 4lbs from where I started when I started everything on the 13th. We made it to the gym 2 times so far this week. I bought a whole bunch of healthy food yesterday at the grocery store, and I want to create a food journal so that I can figure out how many calories I'm eating.
According to sparkpeople if I lose 2.5lbs/week I could be down to almost 230lbs by my sister's wedding. I don't even remember what I look like at that weight, and it would be incredible to be near that by the end of June.
I made a deal with H that once I've lost 10lbs I get new ear buds. My old ones only the right ear works, and he agreed. So come on 6 more pounds!!
My Profile
I think the rockstars would be the people that acutally work out - not the girl that is going to have a heart attack by age 40!
I have still been doing my Jillian Michaels DVD though, which is the longest I've ever stuck with any kind of working out. I'm still stuck on Week 1, but I blame it on the two weeks the flu wrecked our house.
Good work everyone!!
I like fitnesspal too. The scanner is my favorite feature! Look me up starrgazerlily.
I am down 21.6lbs since surgery and over all I am down almost 40lbs since October! Everyone is telling me they can see it in my face. I'm only down 1 clothing size though. I'd think 40lbs would equal 2 clothing sizes but what do I know.
I was discouraged that I only lost 2.2 lbs last week. Which for a normal diet that is great, but average weekly loses for GB people is like 4-6lbs per week. My goal for this week was to get my but back to the gym at least 3 days a week. I didn't go at all the week before last b/c between AF and going back to work I was so wiped out. So far I've gone twice this week. Yesterday I met with a personal trainer. OMG! I forgot that when you work out with a trainer they actually make you work out. I signed up for 2 sessions a month for the next year. I need the structure and the accountability. Otherwise I just wander around the gym not really doing anything. I am also petrified of losing muscle mass over fat. I'm sore in a good way today. I'm going to go again tomorrow and take the dog to the park.
I'm also on myfitnesspal, holla! Love the scanner. Look up pamrauen (original I know).
I lost 9 lbs. before Christmas and then kind of stopped trying. I started again this week to get the last few pounds off. H bought a scale that measures body fat, which is pretty motivating to try to get it down. Also started a VERY simple workout plan to get back on track.
