My grandparents are coming to visit in April and would like to travel to Scotland.
Right now, the dates to go are working out to fall over the Easter weekend: Thursday and Friday nights in Edinburgh and Saturday night in Glasgow. They'd return to London on Easter Sunday (April 8th). Is Easter a bad time to visit, or will this be fine?
Thanks!
Re: Scotland Girls :)
Actually I'm always surprised at how little is closed on Easter. Scotland isn't the most religious of countries. I would check into the sites they really want to see just to make sure they aren't on a shortened schedule, but overall it should all be fine. I know the bus runs a shorter schedule on Sunday and Monday so they should check their options for getting from Edinburgh-Glasgow and getting around Glasgow, it might be a bit different than on other days. Let me know if there's anything specific they were looking to do in Edinburgh and I can check.
It will probably be rainy (although it's been strangely not-cold recently), but it's not the worst time of year here!
