Re: Babies and bumps (to-be)
Tomorrow marks 31 weeks, which is just sort of nuts. I talked with my boss and my plan is to finish work at 38 weeks, so, only 7 weeks left. That's sort of insane.
I managed to twinge my back again on the weekend, and it's still bugging me. I need more quality time with my heating pad, and maybe a bath.
Up: Little Chewy was SUPER active this weekend. Like, moving all.the.time. It was mostly neat and fun. Occasionally uncomfortable, but nothing a shift in position doesn't take care of.
Also? We officially have hiccups now. I notice them last night and again today. It's this weird sort of rhythmic tapping down low, and goes on for a few minutes. I need to be sitting pretty still to pick up on them, but damn they're cute.
Downs: not really any. I've been sleeping better this week, only getting up once or twice to pee at night, which I guess means that maybe the LO has moved up a bit? My back is really the only bad. I'm hoping to get in a massage to help with that one!
Here's a pic from today!
Funny thing, when I first took my pic my bump looked small, especially compared to last week's picture. Then I realized the difference was in my abs. In my first picture they were engaged, whereas last week I'd let 'em hang loose. So, I took another picture.
Here are "tight" and "loose" abs side-by-side, I think the difference is pretty crazy!
So much rounder in "loose"!
Oh, yeah, I remember my bad. My boobs are getting bigger again. And tender again. It's not nearly as bad as it was in the 1st tri, but still not fun. I guess the milk factory is starting to ramp up?
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Love the bump Raynes!
Blender - I know it's hard...I hated the waiting in between appt's early on. You're next appt will be here soon enough.
Ups: Zach is starting to say even more. Over the weekend, he started saying "Jacob." This is our nephew that he adores. He loves it when you sing it. Christian loves to talk, and honestly he can be a little crap head. He loves to test mama's patience.
Downs: They are climbing, and into everything. People with boys told me it would get worse, but man I was not prepared for this. Zach with his devil laugh at you when you tell him not to do something and redirect. Christian flat at telling you NO when you don't want him to do something. Their new thing is to take one of their ride on toys, put it up on the couch, sit on it, and bounce. Yeah not dangerous at all.
Lord help me.
I can't believe how far along you are, now, raynes! And the bump is looking great.
Ups: I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow and we have our first scan. I'm really excited, but also really nervous that we won't see anything. It's still pretty early, but I really want to hear the hb. We also are quite curious to confirm how many are in there!
Downs: None really. Other than sore boobs, symptoms haven't really kicked in yet.

Raynes - I hate to scare you, but wait until that first week after baby. You might smack yourself in the face a few times if you're not careful. Bring breast pads and good sports bras that fit (or nursing bras) with you to the hospital. I felt so gross because I kept leaking through my entire hospital gown every few hours. That milk is mean.
Yesterday Jackson was apparently feeling better from teething and his cold and such, because he thought the world was hilarious. He laughed from the time I picked him up at daycare until about 4am. He was up alll night. I have no idea what's going on with that, because he's not waking up happy. I change his diaper, and then he thinks it's play time with mom for the night. Umm. No thanks. He's 7 months old as of yesterday, and that just blows my mind.
We've now taught him how to ask to get up. He really likes to stand and has been tumbling around trying to figure out how to do so. We also taught him to give hi-5s, which is awesome. I'm pretty sure he's just reaching out to touch our hands, but I'll take it. Still no crawling but we might be skipping that. He stands more than not and wants to meander around that way.
Some PIP from our 7month photo shoot. (they're on fb, so you may have already seen them.)
Raynes, you're looking adorable as always.
Blender, I totally understand. Now that the appointments are a month apart and I can't feel any movement yet, I worry a lot more than I did earlier on. My belly continues to grow, but it'd be nice to have some other indicator that everything is fine.
Ups: I'm finally starting to look PG, rather than just fat (PIP below). So long as I take the Zofran, I'm feeling good. My assistant even told me today that I had the pregnancy glow.
Downs: None other than the fact that the ms still hasn't gone away. At this point, I'm thinking it is going to last the entire pregnancy, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Tell me about it! I cannot get over how quickly time is going by.
GL tomorrow!!
ETA: Tobi, you look great!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Raynes - I can't believe you're 31 weeks! It feels like the other day that you announced (Halloween?). How crazy how fast time goes.
UPS: Noah is now ALL over the place. Crawling, climbing, pulling himself up to everything. Along with that comes the bumps and bruises, what a little boy I have. He decided in the last week to start crawling for real, climbing, pulling up and he got two teeth. He is just insane to me. I can't believe how fast he's growing up.
DOWNS: I miss my little squishy baby that stays where I put him and doesn't throw tempter tantrums. haha.

raynes & neptoon - you both look great!
Sooo... I back in my non-skid non-mat jeans. I'm totally muffin-topping it, but at least my pants aren't falling down, dragging my underwear with them. That's a pro, right? We have our a/s next Tuesday (eeeeeek), and I'm excited for Phil to join me for the ultrasound. I feel like maybe I'm beginning to feel movement... but I'm not sure. I only notice it at night, when I'm lying down, and I'm not entirely convinced that it's not gas.
Ooh, also, he pain in my hips and pelvis has eased up to a manageable level, so double yay there!
Cons: You mean, aside from being totally freaked out about our lives totally changing, and my huge fear of not being able to physically handle it? I have a lot of doubts right now - mostly revolving around the whole lack of sleep thing. Is it stupid to be so worried about that?

Honestly? No, you'd be stupid NOT to be worried about that. But you'll adjust. We all do. Do you have anyone to help you out the first few days?
blender & sushi - GL with your upcoming appointments!
kats - your boys are so cute but they really sound like quite a handful! You're such a supermom, I don't know how you do it.
snoopy - Jackson is starting to look so much like you!
Our biggest news is that Darian finally popped his first tooth last week! But I think another one is right behind it so he's still kind of fussy. I don't know what's up with him and food lately, but he seems to have lost interest. He was eating like a superstar and now he just wants to fool around with the spoon. I'm not terribly worried yet because milk is still the bulk of his intake, but I hope he settles down soon. It was just getting fun to feed him different things too.
I'm thankful that he's not mobile yet, but I have a feeling it's coming soon. He can get on all fours so it'll just take a little practice before he's crawling, I think.

raynes - you look amazing!
sushi - good luck tomorrow!
blender - wooooosah! everything is fine. baby blender is nice & comfy in there.
tobi - I hope you start feeling better soon!
I'm 13 weeks now. I've been feeling great. I think the m/s is officially gone now. I'm still pretty tired, but I'm sleeping like a rock, and that part is wonderful. I'm really excited about moving into the second trimester.
UPS - hearing the heartbeat at my appointment yesterday. still fitting into all my normal clothes, although they are getting a little snug. my appetite is back and I'm craving healthy food, which is a great change.
DOWNS - round ligament pain might be the death of me. it hurts pretty frequently and sometimes makes me stop in my tracks to readjust. also, my moods have been whacky too. I flipped out on Sean last night for something SO stupid, but I couldn't help it. I was just irrationally angry and upset with him. major sucks on that.

I hit 38 weeks yesterday! That's crazy to me, and I just keep telling myself that I only have 2, maybe 3 weeks to go and it makes things more tolerable. I'm still working, my Dr. said it's fine, and when I'm home I get bored pretty easily, so it's a nice distraction.
Ups: I bought the last and final thing for the nursery yesterday. Just need to hang a few things on the walls and we will be ready to go!
Downs: I'm huge and if I don't have lotion on constantly, I get itchy. I have heat rash pretty bad on my upper stomach, which my Dr. said would go away as soon as this little guy comes out. Sleep is close to impossible, I try to take naps to get some sleep in throughout the day. And I've been packing my hospital bag for about 5 weeks and I'm still not done. I really need to get that in my car
Have a great day everyone
Yay, you are sooooo close! It really could be any day now, how exciting!

All the bumps look fabulous!
blender - I was constantly worried between appointments before I could feel anything. I even had horrible nightmares that things were wrong. Now that I can feel baby, I am feeling better but I still have random horrible dreams (including one last night where I went to the bathroom and found a lot of blood in the toilet). I think some people are just more prone to the anxiety of it all. Things will be fine!
Here is another post-workout bump...
Today I wanted to elliptical and bike at the gym (since I ran 2 days in a row) but I wasn't going to be able to turn the television to what I wanted to watch in front of any of the ellipticals so I was irrationally angry for several minutes (first world problems, I know) until I decided to just suck it up and walk 4 miles on the treadmill.
Ups - Baby has been moving around quite a bit but mostly starting at 8pm at night. My workouts always put baby to sleep and there is still movement throughout the day but nothing compared to the hours between 8pm and 10pm. I do get anxious when I haven't felt anything first thing in the morning but I'm trying to chill out. I've got a lazy morning baby and have to deal with that!
I'm now going to appointments every 2 weeks now. Next week my OB is out of town so I go to one of his colleagues but I'm ok with that.
The OB felt around last week and it seems like baby's head down with bum on my left and feet on my right. I am feeling more movement up high from the bum or feet now but nothing painful or anything.
Downs - The only down would be that I'm starting to have some back pain that feels kind of sciatic like but I just suck it up.
I can't believe so many of you are due so soon. It seems to be flying by to me of course haha.
P is doing great he had his speech therapy evaluation yesterday and he is defintly behind in a few areas. We are hoping to get him started in therapy ASAP to help with some of the issues. The case worker is also looking into other options as well.
Jordan turned 7 yesterday as you all know. Thank you for all the bday wishes on the good morning post yesterday. My cousin got a new iphone 4s and wanted to get rid of his old iphone 4. When I asked him how much he wanted for it he told me 30 dollars so I snatched it up. Nothing is wrong with it and Jordan plays my phone more than me. We of course told him its just an ipod touch since there is no "phone" hooked up to work. He is so funny because he thinks he is hot sh*t. We went to the grocery store yesterday and he kept looking at it "to see what time it was." It was to funny.
I don't know. My parents have guests flying in at the end of July, so they're occupied. I mean, I know we'll make it. My first 2 months of school each year are me in survival mode, so I know that I can handle feeling lost and confused... I'm just used to doing that on at least 5 hours of sleep a night.

I love all the bump and baby pictures ladies.
Not much new to report. Things are going well and we're very much enjoying our time with Olivia. On Sunday we took her to the park and let her ride the swings and slide for the first time. She had such a blast that we plan to do it more often.
She keeps pulling herself to standing and then looks around like, okay, now what. She's doing great with solids so far and we haven't had any issues or allergies so that's going well.
