If there was enough storage in general (even if some of it was not super convenient), I would be fine with it. There is always some kitchen stuff that you only use 1-2x a year so I would be fine with storing some stuff a bit further away.
Personally, I really love the layout as you described. No heavy cabinets up high and lots of windows - Wow!!! Love it!

I've seen a lot of kitchens like this lately. I guess it makes things more "open" and airy up top, but I would probably really miss the storage. I might keep glassware and even everyday china in a china cabinet in the dining room.
Since you said there's enough storage space, I'm guessing there's enough counter space for a microwave. If you love the house otherwise, and you think you can live with the kitchen, go for it.
