Updates

I need to update you on two things.

1) My pregnant friend with the baby with the heart condition - they went for an u/s yesterday and things are actually looking better!  They are definitely NOT out of the woods but this was literally the best news they could have hoped for in that the left side of heart is developing, although verrrry slowly. They have decided to have the baby in Philly where the best doctors are also in the even they need the surgery. So thanks for the prayers and keep 'em coming because they are working.

2) First of all whoever missed my post from Monday and is dying to know the gory details feel free to PM me - I just don't need that stuff *out there*. It's probably not as bad as you're thinking :)  Anyhoo, he brought up counseling himself first thing when we talked so I guess that's what he's going to do.  The hard part now is that I don't know how to act! I was so mad/hurt/sad but now that the initial hurt has worn off it's hard not for me to just be super normal and happy which I think is kind of weird because obviously things aren't perfect.

Re: Updates

  • 1) That's great news! Hopefully things will continue to improve and if not it sounds like they are taking every step for their little baby.

    2) Also great news! I think it's awesome that he sees something needs to be done and is willing to try counseling again. I think at this point it's probably better for both of you that you are acting normal and happy. You don't want to continue to be mad at him all the time and dwell on it. Just make time every now and then to check up on him and ask him how counseling is going and let him know that has a supportive wife who loves him and is there for him.

  • I'm happy to hear that the latest u/s was better for your friends.  I'll continue to lift them up in prayer that the baby's heart develops normally.

Hang in there with YH.  I'm sure things are going to be a little rocky at first but at least he's trying to work on things.  Be supportive towards him, but make sure you stand your ground and don't let any more lying/sneaking around be permitted.

  • That is wonderful news about your friends' baby. Sending many positive and healthy vibes their way!

Although I missed #2, I just wanted to send you a big hug!  It sounds like whatever happened, things are on the mend!

I know what you mean, but I think this is the whole key to marriage.  You need to forgive and forget.  But he also has to follow through on working this out, somehow.  I'm glad you were able to discuss is calmly (at least it sounds that way!)

Glad to hear about your friends' baby!!  God bless them!
