I just got back from meeting my friend's new baby. Turns out, she was born at 6:15 last night after about 30 minutes of pushing for those of you following my posts last night.
Oh my goodness, she's beautiful. So perfect. I didn't get to hold her because she was really fussy when we got there and mom and dad are just getting the hang of how to calm her down, so when she fell asleep on mom, we just left her alone. She was making the sweetest faces and noises while she slept, I just wanted to kiss her. They're going home tomorrow, so I'm hoping to visit on Friday or Saturday and hopefully I'll get to hold her then.
Her labor wasn't all that bad....pitocin at 9am, broke her water at 1, contractions got really painful, got epidural around 4, fully dilated shortly after that, and delivered at 6:15....but it still all sounds so scary. haha My baby fever has been ramped up yet again, though.
Re: Ah! Baby fever!
I was thinking about her earlier. Glad all is well.
Yes, every time I see a newborn I get the fever, but then I remember how hard it is!
