I went into to see a new endo. and I was so sure that I would end up leaving with no answers.
Well, this guy was awesome! Answered all of my questions and listened to my concerns. And said definitley subclinical hypothyroid which would explain the fatigue and being unable to lose any weight. And I would definitley need to be on medication when and if I get pregnant. That was good to know as I would need to call him right away if I do (we aren't trying right now, but what if).
I start medication for two months and follow up with a blood test, to see if anything changes.
I'm so glad I pushed my PCP into giving me a referral to the endocrinologist.
Re: Endocrinolgist follow up
Glad you had a good experience with the endo! Hopefully you will be feeling more energetic soon!
It might take a while to get your dose adjusted properly. Even on the right dose of Synthroid I still had fatigue. I started taking Cytomel (synthetic T3) and feel much better. Just something to keep in mind.
