School shooting in Bremerton
A third grader was shot and injured by another student. So, so sad.

BREMERTON, Wash. ? A third grade girl has been shot at Armin Jahr Elementary School in Bremerton.
A teacher working in the office said the girl was shot around 1:30 p.m. The school was placed under lockdown.
Police have not confirmed the child's condition, nor the status on the search for a suspect.

BREMERTON ? One student is believed to have been injured in a shooting at Armin Jahr Elementary School in East Bremerton.
Bremerton Police and EMTs were dispatched to the school at about 1:30 p.m. According to preliminary information, the student was shot and injured by another student. A firearm was found in a classroom.
One student has been detained. The school remains on lockdown.

Jodi Picoult wrote a really good fiction book a few years ago about a school shooting. The book goes through the shooting from the point of the shooter, victims and parents.

?8-year-old is in Amina Kocer-Bowman is in surgery at Harborview, according to a hospital spokeswoman. Surgery is expected to wrap up between 4:45 and 5, and she'll be transferred to intensive care after that.
