Thank you to everyone who replied to my exercise post. I'm happy to report that I did the 30DS this morning. That in itself is impressive for me because while I've been exercising once a week at a circuit training class, I haven't done anything else the other 6 days. I've seen great results with that one class and eating better but I know I can really get where I want to be if I exercise daily during the week.
In terms of timing, Wednesdays are not the norm because my mom sleeps over Tuesday nights so I'm not solely responsible for K in the morning, so I'm hoping this works as smoothly the rest of the week. I made sure I had my mat, weights and DVD ready to go last night and laid out my workout clothes so I could get dressed before I went downstairs. As soon as my husband and K were out the door I turned on the DVD and was done by 7:40. I opted to shower right after just to see how it went and I was late to work by 10 minutes, so I think I'll take everyone's advice and just shower over lunch.
I really hope I can keep this up. It was really cool to be able to do the 30DS without stopping. I feel stronger and now my workout is done for the day. Woohoo!
Re: NCR AW: I did it! :)
Yay! That's always such a great feeling.
If I were you, I'd keep my eye out for other short workout DVDs or other things you can do real quick in the morning (maybe run outside?). I would get so tired of 30DS if it was my only workout!

Thanks ladies! Getting started is definitely the hardest part for me but suddenly the workout was over and I was proud of myself.
That's my fear - getting tired of the DVD since obviously she's always going to say the same annoying stuff. Not to mention the workouts being the same, although there are 3 levels.
Do you have recommendations? My instructor has a large library of DVDs and said we can borrow them, so I'll ask her as well.

Check out the workouts On Demand too! I have some DVDs that are 10 minute workouts and have 5 per DVD. I'll take a look at them to see what they are called.

Yay! Keep me posted on your progress.
It helps me to be accountable (which is why the class is working so well for me and exercising at home is difficult).
Thanks hon. I keep forgetting about On Demand exercises.
Completely agree re: accountability!

Great job!
As far as variety, Jillian has a newer DVD called Ripped in 30, which is the exact same format of 30DS but it's 4 workouts, not 3. I find myself rotating between those and 5 of her other DVDs and it doesn't get too old, I do 5 workouts/week.
Also, you can eventually use heavier weights, which takes the workout to a whole new level, as well as trying to do all of the advanced moves.
I love that program! I did it for 30 days in a row in November/December. I have her Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism now which kicks my butt.
I noticed that my endurance went up FAST with 30DS. I was running beforehand and was able to add a couple of miles to my route easily a couple days after I finished.
And I love how short it is!
