Have they ever asked you for help? Yes. My neighbor's car died in her garage and she borrowed my husband for help. My other neighbor needed more eggs for a recipe and came and borrowed some.
Other: I bake and take them stuff. They bring us stuff. One neighbor just had a baby and I went over with a small gift to see the new baby
I also have to add, this is our 2nd round of neighbors since we live here. These by far are a lot nicer and better neighbors than my last ones.

Do you do anything with your neighbors? Nope. I got tricked into going to one next door neighbor's party and his gf at the time hit on me. Grrr!

Have they ever asked you for help? They have but I am not willing to give help.
I just have to add in that our home is so close to our next door neighbor's that the two houses could kiss. He is almost 50 and wants to be a DJ so he blasts his music late at night and when we go over there, he ether can't hear or he is baked out of his skull and refuses to answer the door. The other side, they are a bunch of 20 something hipsters who sit outside late at night and drink and smoke and talk very loud. Once, I walked out and told them to quiet it down because DH was sleeping after a strenuous day at work. They thought I was joking. They then began to play with their car alarm and I went back out and told them to knock it off or else I am calling the cops! Ugh!

-Not asked, but when we have tornados I invite the upstairs neighbors into my apartment.
My situation is unique. My H is a police officer and works off duty on the property by responding to various calls or problems that may come up and in turn, we get free rent. It's a sweet deal and the apt is nice and in a good location, but many residents are low income and just odd. Some have been in trouble with the law at times, unfortunately, so DH has had some not-so-great encounters with a few. Some are nice and low key though.
Are you friendly with your neighbors? DH is very friendly with them because he's introduced to most people when they move in. I just say hello.
Do you know their names? DH does. He has a list of names and phone numbers for everyone here.

Not one. However, one of them brought over "good neighbor gifts" for Christmas, so their names are probably on them.

Sure. Everyone's pretty nice in my little tiny town. I'm sure they'd help if they could.

No, but one of the older couples in our ward have brought us all kinds of veggies and stuff. I think they were assigned to us, they just visit and bring goodies... can't complain!

Have they ever asked you for help? yup! We have a pretty nice arrangement. We have even baby sat for them once. We are each other's "in case of emergency" people in terms of kids, pets, and house.

Would you ask them for help? If I needed it, yes... I did have to borrow a phone once when I got locked out of the house. That's the only help I have needed so far.

Are you friendly with your neighbors? - yes, we'll say hello to them when we're outside and occasionally stop and chat for a couple of minutes

Would you ask them for help? - depends on what it is, our one neighbors have gotten our mail before while we were away, but that's about the extent of it. We keep to ourselves mainly

Do you do anything with your neighbors? Not really. A couple times a year we have community get-togethers, otherwise it's mostly mombies and I have nothing in common with most of them.

Have they ever asked you for help? Yes, once S was trying to climb up to the roof to fix a few shingles so I was trying to hold the extension ladder in place. Our property drops off rather steep if you're not on the walkway and our neighbor happened to see us and came out to help.

Do you know their names? If someone said it, I'd probably recognize it.
Do you do anything with your neighbors? God no, most of our neighbors either have babies or they're super old.

Our closest neighbors are family so the answer to everything is yes, but I'll answer about the other neighbors.

Would you ask them for help? Probably not. Maybe if we had car problems or got injured while on a walk and their house was the closest.

Are you friendly with your neighbors? Oh yeah. We are a very close community-- we have huge parties for every holiday and a very active community association.
Do you know their names? Almost all of them, but we have a neighborhood directory (complete with pets' names!) in case I forget!
Do you do anything with your neighbors? All the time. Some of our closest friends live 4 houses away.
Would you ask them for help? Would and do. There's a neighborhood FB page where we can post to ask to borrow a snowblower, or volunteer to dogsit, whatever you need!
Have they ever asked you for help? Sure. We volunteer to do a lot of the neighborhood beautification work (pulling weeds, planing shrubs, etc.) and also help the older people move furniture or pick up packages. We helped shovel out all the neighbors on our street after the huge snowstorm last year.
ETA: There are 60 houses in my neighborhood :-)
ETA: I need to qualify my answer. I love the adults that live on one side of us...very cool hippies. But their kids, OMG. The boy has practically fallen over our 8' wall trying to play with our dogs, and I've had to chase him out of my yard and driveway several times. He has a bad habit of hiding in the yard and then running in front of the car when you're trying to pull into the garage. I haven't had much trouble since emailing his mom, but he still lurks around. I've officially become the "Get off my lawn!" woman.

Are you friendly with your neighbors? Not really. I mean, we say hello but that's about it.
Do you know their names? I know the names of the people that live on both sides of our house. That's it.
Do you do anything with your neighbors? Nope. One time the friendlier couple invited us over for a drink in the summer, that's it.
Would you ask them for help? If there was no other way around it.

*ETA: I wish that we were closer with our neighbors. The one couple in particular seems really nice. But both couples have young kids and I just don't think it would work out. Not that we mind the kids really but I just feel like it would be so difficult to start a friendship that way.
