Q about compression socks
I've recently started running again after an injury and - well - laziness. Whether I'm in good shape or not, I always have very tights calves while running. I was wondering if compression socks can help.
If not, are there any particular stretches or anything else that can help?

I've also got tight calves right now, and have had issues with shin splints in the past.
What I find works best are compression sleeves while running, and socks for recovery. Sleeves are basically pieces of what you'd wear for tights, except they start at your ankles and stop at your knees. 2XU makes the ones that I wear, and they've been invaluable to me in various rounds of training.
I also stretch my calves before and after, and maybe during if it's that bad when I run. I stretch out the meaty part of my gastronemius, and also my soleus muscles. You can find stretches for those on Runner's World's website.

I use compression socks post-run. I tried them during my run and hated them. I've been thinking of ordering the sleeves to try during my run.
I foam roll and stack one leg on top of the other to really get deep.
Daily (even when I don't run), I do heel drops on the stairs with both straight and bent legs in addition to the typical calf stretches (ie. one leg straight behind you and lean forward until you feel the stretch; then bend the back leg slightly and lean forward; on the floor with extended legs and slightly pull the ball of the foot towards you); Downward dogs are really good too
