Re: Parenthood (w/spoilers)

I think she's still going to get the baby. I think her being in there was a misunderstanding. In the previews they show Zoe saying "you changed my life". I think that's going to mean she leaves to go to school somewhere or something. Because what then is the end of this story (feasible for a tv show)? She already couldn't get pg, they did IVF, I think I remember them getting screwed on another baby - not this indepth, but I could've sworn it happened before. Then this. So either they get their baby and deal with having another kid, etc or what- they go through this again and get a baby? I don't think they'd show a whole other story with them trying to get another baby and I doubt they're going to have her just sad and wanting a baby for the duration of the show.
I was bawling though about that and Crosby/Jasmine/Jabbar.
I was pissed at Adam taking that meeting though
Yes. I don't think that's going to end well. I'm wondering about Sarah too.
I was wondering about Sarah too, especially given the previews.
After watching, I agree with TSD that something's going to happen with Juila.

I haven't watched it yet, but I am weak and had to open.
to not getting the baby. You think something is going to happen to Julia? Like, sick or off the show or something? That is interesting. ETA - nevermind, reading fail. I get what you are saying.
Adam drives me nuts. He is such a jackass.
He's not really a jackass. I can see where he's coming from. He and Crosby are just in two really different places in life. Adam has a wife and three kids, one in college, one with special needs and a baby. He needs the money and security selling would bring.
Crosby has a dream that's actually being realized and he's not about to throw it away. But he doesn't have an real expenses or any that are seriously pressing at the moment. He has one child but he's doing well enough to support that one child and I assume Jasmine has a job. Plus he has a lot of time before he has to worry about Jabbar and paying for college.
It's sort of like Let's Make a Deal. Do you sell now and get the money or do you hold out because it's obviously something other people want. It could way surpass the offers.
I haven't seen the episode yet. I'm just talking about my general dislike for the guy. He tries to be everything to everybody but ends up sucking at it all.
I've been hoping the same thing as TSD, that they turn this into just another case where Julia doesn't understand that Zoe loves the baby, and wanted a few moments alone to experience that love, but knows she can't raise him. It just goes better with the whole plot. Bonus is that it's also way more realistic.
I'm sure Sarah's going to change her mind and stay, and I'm thrilled about Crosby and Jasmine. I can't fault Adam for at least wanting to hear out the recording studio's offer. And, while I know they won't/shouldn't sell, I think it's interesting to play out the differences in the two brothers' interests.
2013 Calendars and More!
Well, first, I'm pretty proud of myself for waiting to open this until I watched it!
And second, I don't have much to add other than I agree that the Julia/Zoe/Baby situation isn't over yet. I think they'll end up with the baby (or Julia will magically get pregnant after giving up, which a lot of tv shows pull. I would be really disappointed if they went this route).
this past episode made me cry ugly, ugly tears. the julia plot...my heart just breaks for her and i really, really hope that she ends up with the little boy.
i like adam...and i totally see why he is interested in selling. i hope that he doesn't, but only because i like seeing the relationship between he and crosby become more mature and less big/little brother.
i am so excited for jasmine and crosby and jabar. i had hoped that they would end up back together and i am happy to see that happening.
i hope, for once, that sarah puts someone besides herself first and doesn't really move to nyc. i hate the way that she sort of forgets that she even has kids most of the time and it was touching to see her stick up for her daughter and then just lay there and be present for her when she needed her mom.
i don't understand why the season finale is at the end of february though.
I think I'm the only one that doesn't want Jasmine and Crosby together. I was kind of hoping they would slowly phase her out.
I can completely understand why Adam wants to sell and why Crosby doesn't. I do think it's shady to meet the guy behind Crosby's back though. I generally feel sorry for Adam because he winds up picking up the slack for everyone else. He and Julia are the stable ones.
edit: I think the Sarah thing was because Lauren Graham's contract hasn't been resolved yet. They also don't know if it's being picked up for another season, so I think they're tying things up just in case. I hope it gets picked up. I love it.
I liked Crosby's new girlfriend. Ugh.
It was completely shady for Adam to have that meeting without telling Crosby. I also think that whatever Dwayne Wayne offered is still not the highest they are willing to go. There is room for negotiation here.
I, too, am heartbroken for Julia and was hoping that Zoe was just saying goodbye to her baby, but I saw an interview with Erika C. that led me to believe otherwise.
Sarah is a hot mess. As lame as Christina can be, I think it's a good thing that she and Amber are getting closer.
someone on ML posted a link yesterday that showed that it did get renewed.
Oh good!
