... that he is totally in love with you? I mean, not the considerate things-- I'm talking about the endearing things that you imagine he did when he was a kid and didn't know how to express that he liked a girl.
I was listening to some John Lennon and he has that line in the song "Woman" that says she understands "the little boy inside the man" and I always think of the fact that MH's sincerest wish-- and about 75% of our interactions are for this purpose-- to make me laugh. He dances, acts goofy, calls me in to where he is even if I'm smack in the middle of something I can't pause, interrupts me in the bathroom, when I'm in the shower (yes, those are two different entries), when I'm on the phone... to show me something that he hopes is funny. This afternoon, he called me in to the bathroom so I could see his silly pose in the shower. This evening, he was going through his Sea Bag (those big green over-the-shoulder duffle packs) and taking out various clothes from his army days and saying "this is another pair of PT shorts, as you can see" and "this is a glove, as you can see" just to make me laugh at him.
So. What does DH do to show you, in his "little boy" way, that he thinks you're cute/sweet?

Re: What does DH do to show you...
Now that my boys are feeling better, and things are calming down at work I am hoping to post more.
My DH sounds similar to yours. He makes up his own songs to any song he might be listening too. They are usually about him and I, and not all of them are under the age of 18 friendly. LOL.
He also is the biggest baby when he is sick. He seriously will talk to me in a little kid voice asking for me to take care of him. As annoying as it is, it cracks me up every time.
And now, I can't wait to get home tonight to see him (He is just coming off his 3 night work week at the hospital), and see what he has in store for me this evening.
My DH says, "I love you." Really, that's what he does. On a normal day, he says it once or twice. But when I'm feeling really stressed or down or whatever, he'll say it over and over again. Sometimes I think he forgets how often he's said it. On Tuesday on our way to and from the doctor's office, I think he said it to me at least every 5 minutes. It was comforting, yet also a bit like listening to my kid who says the same thing over and over and over.
Even when we were just friends, Matt was pretty vulnerable with me. He's a very genuine, pleasant person, but he's private. He's not open and vulnerable with many people.
The first time I realized we were actually becoming friends was when he was telling me about his breakup with the woman he dated before the little dude's mom. We were both working in the stock room - me unpacking a shipment and him packing up phone orders - and after a few minutes he stopped and looked at me really curiously and said, "You're the first person I've talked to about that." This was like 8 years ago, now, but I will never forget it.
Now, there are a lot of little vulnerable/private/silly/precious things he does or lets me see that really reinforce how much he loves/trusts me. It's cool.
Another thing is that he reads my blog. He has read it all along, before we started dating, but it means a lot to me when he tells me he read or enjoyed something I wrote. He knows how important it is to me and makes an effort to take part in it.
DH is ever the comedian, but he is like that with everyone so I don't think that's his way of showing me he loves me. Although, we have our own private jokes that crack us up a lot. DH does big things and little things. Last night I told him I was feeling off so I wasn't going to go to the gym as planned. We had gotten our shutters in so he immediately took the new toy outside and started putting a few up. About 15 minutes later he came back inside and gave me a hug and apologized and said he was sorry since I mentioned I wasn't feeling good. This surprised me b/c I was OK with him going out there and doing it. But it was nice that he realized that maybe I wasn't feeling that good, needed help etc.
He's also very supportive with my food blog and comes home with all sorts of ideas.
Then he does big things like Valentines Day this year or the fact that Sat. we are having Date Day. A month back I said we needed a date night and he said we need more than just one night. So, he's planned this whole day and night (DD is staying with IL's) and I know the start of that day involves a mani/pedi/hair cut that he scheduled for me
He's pretty awesome and I think I'll keep him
