CP & More veggie talk: Kohlrabi
How many of you ladies have had kohlrabi before? What do you do with it. I remember having it at a friends house once when I was growing up and thought it was pretty good. Since then I've debated about seeding some in my garden but need to know what to do with it first before I do so!

Re: CP & More veggie talk: Kohlrabi
If I'm not mistaken, kohlrabi is in the cabbage family. I know it had a cabbage-esque flavor. I'd never heard of it until this past summer, when my grandma picked some out at the farmer's market. I sauteed it in evoo with a little garlic and the zest and juice of a lemon and it was pretty good.
I make it every so often now. It's not necessarily my favorite, but I kinda keep an eye on my grandma to make sure she's eating enough/getting healthy ish food, and she tends to be picky about veggies. So, any fresh veggie I can get her to eat is a win. I think I'm just neutral on kohlrabi, but if it's cooked well it can be pretty good.
