Back in my comfort zone. OOTD (no pic, lol)
I woke up late and had to scramble to get dressed, so I'm back to basics - black pants, magenta tank, black and white patterned cardi, double-strand pearls and pearl earrings. And black pumps.
Tomorrow I will try for more color again.

True, true. But I have no issues with one item being a pop of color as long as everything else is black. It's the color/pattern mixing that I'm not good at.

I'm taking the day off and still can't manage a pattern. Jeans, white tee, gray cardi. And my sneakers with a bit of hot pink on them are giving me anxiety.
This is going to have to into my normal rotation!

We could be twins today. I'm wearing light grey pants, a magenta top, a grey and purple-ish striped cardi (the stripes are super skinny though), and black pumps. And that is me being exciting! I do have fun purple and silver earrings though, but all my accessories are purple so that's no shock.
My problem is that I only do color in the purple/blue/teal spectrum, and never more than one color!
I have a solid teal skirt from JCrew that I love, but I can never find anything but white or black to pair with it?and I actually don't look that good in black near my face.

Well, like you said - baby steps
I'm in such a boring outfit today, but I blame T, who insisted on picking my pants and shirt today. I just couldn't find an interesting (non-black) sweater to go with the button-down pink shirt that doesn't quite fit right (so needs to be hidden) and the black and white weave of the pants. It's all the kid's fault!!
in honor of the wondermous weather, I opted for a BR dress, purple/green/brown leafy kinda print, with an olive 3/4 sleeve cardi and olive suede flats. It may be a little summery without the cardi but with all the colors in the dress, I can put a cardi (usually wear purple, frankly) on and bc its silk, it goes year-round.
so yay for color on a fantastic day! and tomorrow is Jeans Day -- bigger yay!
