Beam me up, Scotty

Had my first laser hair removal on my pits last night. Now I smell like burnt hair.

It was a little uncomfortable and my pits feel like they have bad razor burn/light sunburn today, but I think I'm going to be very pleased with the results. I'll be able to raise my hand, raise my hand if I'm Sure anytime I want soon!

Re: Beam me up, Scotty

  • How many treatments are you getting?
  • It depends how my hair responds, anywhere from 4-7.

  • And how long does it last?

I have fair arm hair, but I still have thought about this. I am not sure how I feel about lasers on my bits, but lasers on my pits may be ok.

Forever. But it really only works on dark hair.

  • I think I'm going to have to do this eventually. Ah, the curse of the pail white skin and black body haired person.

  • BLAST!

I mean, my hair is not super fair, but it's not dark dark either.

  • I had this done a few years ago.  I went in for 6 treatments and while there is less hair, I still need to shave.  I'm not sure it was really worth it for me.

  • I have my 5th treatment on my nethers on Friday.  I'm bummed out because it's not working as well as I had hoped.  I'm thinking my plan to get my pits done next is going to be pointless.  Stupid hair.

  • I don't have super dark pit hair, but even after one time, it is drastically reduced and seems to require less frequent attention.

I did 4 treatments on my bits.  It's to the point where there are clearly some stubborn parts that just aren't going to go away, no matter how much the woman cranks the machine up and burns the shiit out of me.  So I can live with having a clean bikini line and a mostly-but-not-quite-clean dance floor that needs a razor every once in while.

  • The lady said my hair was responding really well. Already I've had a ton of hairs fall out. It's crazy. My pits are just so gross. I can't ever get them to cleanly shave, so any improvement is worth it to me.

  • Lindsay, I love you with my whole heart.
  • This is all intriguing. But I am Italian, so I assume they would need to take out the bow torch for me.

  • This thread makes me want to feel for pit stubble.

You actually might be better off.  It's the fine, light hair that was the most stubborn (for the most part).

    And hezzer, MWAH!
