Somewhere warm (80s) and sunny with a 1 year old?
DS will be almost 2-and we've ruled out cruises because of the pool issue. Can anyone recommend somewhere that is a 4ish hr flight or less from Minneapolis and would be a good place to get away from the snow in February? Are the Cayman's or Puerto Rico a good option? We want a resort feel on the water and somewhere that will be easy to get food for a child. Budget approx 4K for 1 week
Re: Somewhere warm (80s) and sunny with a 1 year old?
To Puerto Rico is about 6 hours. I think you can't go direct to Grand Cayman so it would be longer.
How about Florida? You could do St. Augustine - has the beach and a cool town. You could also drive to Amelia Island for a day. I think it's pretty close. Or the Sanibel Island area. It's on the west coast, pretty quiet and low-key.
Sanibel Island in FL is nice and family friendly.
Aruba might be an option.
what pool issue? If you are looking for a toddler type pool they had one when I was on princess for 1-3 year olds to just splash around in. I thought that was real nice.
Other than that maybe check out Beaches resorts which are family oriented.
