Chicago airport Q

I am going to the NRA trade show in May and can't figure out which airport I need to fly to. It's at McCormick Place. Thanks!

Re: Chicago airport Q

  • Either one would work but Ohare would probably be closer.
  • Ditto PP. However, if you got a lot better deal flying into Midway (it sometimes is cheaper), that would work also.

  • Thanks! I will just go by price.
  • According to google maps, it looks like O'Hare is 20 miles away and Midway is only 10.

  • Midway is definitely closer.  Less traffic too.

Thanks! That's what I was wondering...I saw the difference in mileage between the two, but didn't know if one would wind up being a lot closer due to traffic. I'll look into Midway, but it's nice to know O'Hare won't be too inconvenient if it's a lot cheaper.

  • Traffic from Ohare is always worse than Midway.  When I lived in the city, I always flew in/out of Midway if I could.

Ditto - when I traveled for work, I would always fly in and out of Midway. Much less chaotic than O'Hare!

Like they said midway is way closer. A cab, even in traffic, wouldn't be that bad. From O'Hare it could take a long time.
