fun things to do in myrtle beach

Yes, I know there is a google search bar...

But DH & I are going there next month. We have our hotels booked & I'm super pumped about it...but I really want to plan out some things to do before we go.

Anyone have any super ideas? ;)

Re: fun things to do in myrtle beach

  • Broadway at the beach- fun shops and restaurants. Also Ripley's aquarium is there- it's fun- but gets really busy if it rains- so if it's going to be a rainy day activity go early.

If you want a show I like Carolina Opry the best, but there are some other fun dinner shows- there is a pirate show and medieval times. There is also a new boardwalk that is down on ocean blvd- I think it's like 10 ave north- and there is a very cool ferris wheel- I would definitely check that out.

Our Journey from two to three! 3 IUI's, 2 IVF's, decided to move to foster/adopt. 12/24/2009 Baby C born, 2/1/2010 placed with us, 5/17/2011 Adoption final- we are finally a forever family! Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Thanks! I don't know if I can get DH to go on a ferris wheel (he's scared of heights), but I will definitely try! ...I happen to love them!

  • here's a short blog post i did about MB a couple of years ago. my family used to go every summer, but we haven't been in two or three years, so there may be some new things (like the boardwalk) that i'm not familiar with and i'm sure others can chime in about. but in case it helps: myrtle beach
  • Thanks, that was super sweet of you!

  • Not only Broadway at the Beach, but a little more north (closer to NMB) is Barefoot Landing, which has a few places to eat and little shops. Smaller than Broadway, but still cool. Broadway is a lot of fun to wander around.

Walking along the boardwalk is fun and exploring the shops along Ocean Ave. And if you like putt putt, there is one around every block.

There are a bunch of cool shows around (Alabama Theater, Pirates Voyage, Carolina Opry, etc). Hope you enjoy your stay here!! Next month is just the start of tourist time, so it shouldn't be too crowded but the weather should start to perk up.
