disney's hilton head island?

Has anyone been here? Any other recs on hilton head?

My concern with the Disney property is the lack of dining options....

Re: disney's hilton head island?

  • Sorry, have not stayed at Disney properties.  The Marriott Vacation clubs are great with kids.  They have full kitchens so with kids you can have food/milk in the room.  I don't think they have great food at the resorts but there are some restaurants that are good.  As I mentioned before, Charleston is only about 2 hours away and Savannah only an hour and they have great food options.

Defnitely look into Kiawah Island - here is a link - http://www.kiawahisland.com/kiawah-island

they are hosting PGA championship so they must have good golf.  also about 20 miles from Charleston

    Great-thanks!

  • I travel to Hilton Head all the time.

The Disney property is disappointing in my opinion (I'm a travel agent and it is my job to inspect these places)

If your are going to Hilton Head, my personal favorite is the Hilton.

It's a low rise with lots of foliage instead of a mass of cement on the sand like you'll find at most places. They have a snack/sandwich shop with is a nice bonus and the dining there is very good.
