3/17 GTG

Hi Ladies!

SO who is in? I am so excited to host...I'm thinking maybe we could do a St Patty's day theme and make green treats. But I can't think of many. hah!

I'm thinking lunch? Let me know if that would be a good time for folks...

Also, my BFF might come too (is that ok with everyone if I bring an outsider?) - since K is out of town and her hubby will have been in London for two weeks she is hoping to get a break to come visit for a girls' weekend but it's not set in stone yet....but people let me know if it is too weird or something.

Anyway, once we have a headcount I'll start brainstorming food - we could do some kind of pot luck thing. If the weather is nice I can open up the sunroom and deck too...it will be nice :-)

  • I'm obviously not in (booo!), but my favorite St. Patty's day potluck dish is broccoli salad. Yummy and green.

Getting to Chicago is another story. 4 hour drive. Flights from me are $$$ this close Sad

As for a recipe. I do something like this. You can use Greek yogurt instead of mayo and cranberries or grapes instead of raisins. Almond slivers instead of sunflower seeds would be good too. It's very adaptable. Letting it sit in the fridge over night really lets the flavors meld. It's so good.

  • I'll be there! I love the idea of a green pot luck. Your friend is definitely welcome; I hope we don't scare her. Wink

I can't wait to see all the babies together!

  • I  am a maybe, but more towards yes!  And would probably have Lucas if someone wants to lend me a hand. That boy is into everything!  haha Stick out tongue
  • Unless someone plans a surprise birthday party for me (and that is highly unlikely) I will be there!
  • I'm in!  I think your idea sounds really great and it's no big deal for me if your friend is there, the more the merrier!  I can't wait to see all the babies!  Liz, you'll have plenty of aunties to help out with Lucas, I really hope you can make it! :)
