how far is everybody running today?

i left my husband to spin on his own today, since the weather is glorious for a run, and my chafing seems healed enough to handle it.  i'm going to do a 90 minute run...however far i get, i get.  my goal today is to keep my azz moving for 90 minutes.

what about you?

Re: how far is everybody running today?

  • BF and I are looking to run about 2-3 miles. We both just started running again so it's not much but at least it's something. We're going to do some ab work after and then maybe 30DS

  • I did 6 yesterday and am running some cross country trails with two friends tomorrow.
  • I think I'm going to run for 45 minutes and save my 10 miler for tomorrow when it is not as windy.

  • My plan is for 8 miles. Fingers crossed that the rain holds off for a while.
  • I was scheduled for 8 today, but winds are about 30 mph this morning. I'll either A) do a short run and save 8 for tomorrow or B) do it later today when the wind is supposed to die down.

This is only my second time attempting 8. I need the wind on my side. :)

Update: I checked the forecast and tomorrow morning looks just as windy. So, this afternoon it shall be!

  • two hours.  it's 11AM and I'm still in my jammies.  I'm procrastinating because it's super windy.  one thing I will miss about winter is being able to have a leisurely morning lounge pre saturday long run.  not looking forward to setting the alarm to beat the heat this summer.
  • Yesterday was 6, tomorrow will hopefully be 7, today is a rest day! I can't run on consecutive days because I have bummy knees.

Ooooouch. I'm a DD girl. My under-boobs were the first place to chafe but luckily mine never got gooey, so I was able to remedy with Body Glide immediately. I hope yours heals soon - you might need to spend a couple days biking instead of running to give it healing time.

  • 8-9 miles. I'm not going until later this afternoon. I want to be lazy this morning. I hit the gym last night and ran 3 miles on the dreadmill and then swam 3000 yards. I also have not had my coffee yet this morning, that should help!
  • I just ran 8 and then 2 yoga classes. I'm ready for a nap.

  • Just had my first 7 mile run on the treadmill (too icy outside) and I ran the entire time. 6.1 to a half marathon!

  • Just finished 8 miles in a little over an hour and a half.  YAY ME!!!

  • 10 miles - 1st double digit run of my marathon training! I did it on the treadmill as it was only about 5 degrees outside this morning. I don't mind the treadmill, and I had a fun run. I did it in 1:46, which is about 30 seconds faster per mile than I was doing last year on long runs, which is awesome :)

  • a little over 10 miles.  The wind was pretty brutal!
  • I did 20.6 miles. Even with the brutal wind (seriously thought I was going to get blown backwards on one stretch), it was a pretty amazing run. Hello, marathon taper!!

  • I planned on 10 and went 10.5. It was frigid here though! I thought it would be about 20 degrees and when I headed out it was 2. It was lots of layers for me this morning. Great job everybody. Smile

  • Did a 10k race this morning with a 1/2 mile warm up (got there late) and a 4 1/2 mile cool down. So, 11ish miles total.

  • I just started Hal Higdon's 8k training program. I have an 2 mile run today.

  • I only did 3.6. I could have gone farther (and I wanted to), but DD had to get home for lunch and a nap so I felt guilty going any longer.

  • No run for me today. Or tomorrow. I spent my afternoon burning calories snowboarding. And doing it for the day tomorrow again. I'm not very good yet, so I think I get an extra workout picking my butt off the mountain over and over again.

I did a little over 3 yesterday though. I scaled it back a bit after a long day at work but it was a good run.

I did 6 yesterday and 11.25 this morning. I ended up feeling much better yesterday than today despite the wind. Serves me right for putting off the run!
