My first Pay it Forward project finished!
It's the Noodlehead gathered clutch, lengthened and with an added wrist strap. The recipient loves peacocks, so I've had the fabric with her name on it for months.
I used my new bias tape maker to make the strap. The original instructions wanted me to turn and topstitch it and I couldn't do it for lack of patience. I skipped the interfacing, but I feel like it's sturdy enough.

Stand up for something you believe in.
I still have 5 more to go too. It felt good to get one done in Feb though. :-) At least they are all getting something slightly different, so there's more fun to be had.

It was a thing on Facebook going around at the first of the year.
Pay it forward 2012...I promise to make something handmade for the first five people who comment. They must in turn post this and make something for the first five people who comment on their status. Simple rules...handmade by you and received by December 31, 2012. ?
I had 6 comment. I started out planning to make all of them clutches, but then decided to make one something she had pinned on pinterest (she doesn't sew) and another asked for something else. So now I'm making three clutches, a bridal clutch, some money envelopes ala dave ramsey, and a knitting needle rollup.
Love the clutch!
The PIF project sounds really cool.
THIS!
Ps. Can I be your FB friend?

Haha. I'm not taking any more applicants for PIF, but if you want to be FB friends, just message me. :-)
