Seattle in early October?

How would Seattle be in early October?  We were hoping for September but now have to go a little later.  Thanks!

  • The graph below is from seattle.gov. Usually I'm comfortable in a light rain jacket in October.

  • Seattle's summer starts and ends late, so you might catch the tail end of the sunny season.  You'll still have a good time, but it might not be as gorgeous.
  • It'll be starting to get cooler (especially at night), and maybe a little rainy and/or windy.  But sometimes you luck out and it's still gorgeous.  I know we had good weather last year at the beginning of the month because it was a nice day to be out and about at Salmon Days.  :)  The weather was also just nice enough for us to get our house painted without the painters freaking out about the moisture too much.
